Maci DeLuca, LPC-MHSP Temp, RN-BSN
Maci obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baptist College of Health Sciences in 2014. She has over 10 years of experience as a registered nurse having worked in a heart transplant critical care unit at Baptist Memorial Hospital and in pediatric oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Maci is well acquainted with the life-altering shock and trauma of terminal diagnoses and bereavement as well as the perseverance required to endure the path of healing physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Maci has also been an interventionist for bereaved parents at St. Jude in a Meaning Centered Grief Therapy study for over two years.
Maci completed her Master of Arts in Counseling in 2021 from The Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. She has been practicing as a therapist for nearly three years and is passionate about helping others resolve attachment wounds, learn healthy boundaries, grow in the capacity for integration, and step into what it means to reparent oneself in adulthood.
Maci believes that beneath every behavior exists a story and that the events of one’s story can often create a fragmented internal world– a sense of disconnection from one’s truest self. In this hidden space, emotions can vary from numb and out of touch to overblown and out of control. Shame can make showing up feel like the exposure will kill you. Guilt can feel like it will never end. Fear can evoke emotional paralysis, intolerable physical sensations, and an ever-spinning mind. Sadness can feel all-consuming. Maci believes that making sense of where you’ve been, who you are, why you do what you do, and how you’d like your story to unfold is part of the growth process.
Maci trusts that although we are often wounded in relationship, deep and corrective healing experiences can occur in the context of safe relationships. She desires to offer a space where she can assist others in navigating their stories in a manageable and contained way, leading to transformation and a flourishing life of abundance amidst a sense of connection to self, God, and others.
Outside of work you can find Maci playing indoor soccer, exercising, attending book club, and enjoying time with her husband William, friends, and family.
