Holiday Stress
For many, the holiday season is a time of joy, good cheer, and family gatherings. For others, it can be a time of loneliness, a reflection on lost loved ones, and anxiety about an uncertain future. It may be helpful to take this opportunity to reprioritize and make this Christmas less stressful and more meaningful. I encourage you to reduce the pressure of giving “things” and give more of “yourself.”
Here are two thoughts that may help you move from a focus that can be life-draining to one that is life-giving.
Seek to offer comfort – Trials you have endured will help you comfort others who may be suffering similar hardships. Seek to offer God’s strength, hope and encouragement. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Seek Gospel Communication – Instead of sharing “what went wrong” this year, share how everyone is precious to God so that someone might receive the gift of eternal life. Luke 15:10
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I know for some this season can be hard. We are here for you.
